Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the
place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful
men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has
solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
-Calvin Coolidge, 30th
president of the United States
What it is saying is that you don’t have
to be the smartest person to succeed. You don’t have to have talent to be a
good person. If you try your best and always have a positive attitude you can
do about anything. You need to keep moving forward.
